It is very often the job of competent tradesmen to undo the work of not so competent tradesmen, a task which was recently carried out for me by Stacy of Series A Roofing.
The work was to replace some guttering which had not lasted much more than a year before starting to leak again. It was a very routine job for his company, and the replacement guttering was carried out in a matter of hours. Stacy also made a point of following up on the work several weeks after, even though he had already been paid in full and carried out a small repair which had been missed the first time around, at no extra cost.
Courteous and professional, Stacy is one of the few who says he’s going to do something, and goes ahead and does exactly that!

Series A Roofing Ltd have provided me with a variety of services all to an absolutely excellent standard.
– entirely replaced my roof on a six bedroom Victorian townhouse
– replaced loft insulation
– entirely replaced eaves
– re-pointed entire house back and front
Not only was their work to an excellent standard – the level of customer service for a small roofing company was exceptional.
The team was polite, courteous, hard working, on site every day at 8am sharp. They worked through the most inclement of weathers – it took a storm to stop them working!
I am not the type of person to give out recommendations lightly. If you have a requirement for a roofer, use Series A Roofing Ltd

RE: Series A Roofing Ltd
I have worked at Wandsworth Oasis at the above address for the past 5 years. We rent office and retail space covering 3 floors of a Victorian property. The building has been rented for approximately 20 years and is not in a good state of repair mainly as a result of water damage at various points in it’s history. The roof is the responsibility of the landlord who lives in North London.
Over the last 4 years, we have had water ingress into our downstairs shop on at least 5 occasions. Stock, fixtures and fitting have been repeatedly damaged and rendered unsalable. Every time there was a heavy rainstorm, we were dodging buckets of water and draping towels over the shelving. The landlord sent round a series of general builders who constantly failed to fix the root cause of the problem. In Summer 2014 we discovered extensive dry rot in the building brought on by the poor quality roof repairs and had to close for 6 weeks. In Winter 2014rain started to ingress not only through the electric lights in the shop but also in the upstairs office space and local community radio station who rent space from us. At my wits end, I called the landlord; advising I was fed up of ‘bodge jobs’ and required – under the terms of our lease – that the landlord fix the problem using a specialist roofer. Stacy from Series A Roofing Ltd came out immediately and undertook a temporary repair while he negotiated works with the landlord. The landlord accepted Stacy’s quote and the work was completed in March 2015.
We are delighted to have a watertight building for the first time in 10 years. Even the temporary fix held out – unlike previous attempts by others at permanent solutions. I would not hesitate to recommend Stacy and his team. They were courteous throughout, caused minimum disruption to the running of the shop, office and radio station, kept me up to speed with progress and even cleaned up after themselves.

Re: 129 Ravenslea Road, Balham
Thank you so much for doing such a great job at this property. The repairs to the roof, the guttering and re-pointing the brickwork were done well and expediently, so that my client was very impressed.
She particularly remarked on your punctuality and efficiency in arriving with all equipment and materials needed for the work in hand, so that you could make an immediate start.
Your expert knowledge was very reassuring and your advice, heeded.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in personally recommending your service to anyone who needs a personable, reliable and expert roofer.

Having a conservatory extension built at the rear of my house some 10 years ago, the glass roof caused a lot of problems with water leaks. So I had this replaced with a tiled roof by some builder friends of mine, only to find after a few downpours of rain…you guessed it, water leaks.
Hearing Stacy in his 60 second speeches talk about flat roofs, I bit the bullet and asked him to call round and have a look. He was quick in his response.
Unfortunately for me, my builder friends didn’t use the right tiles and were not suitable for this type of roof. He recommended guess what? A flat roof.
He gave a cost which I was very happy with. Considering what I had already paid out; he was probably half that.
He completed the works within one day and it looks fantastic. I had a few downpours since then and not a single drop. To coin the phrase “should have gone to Specsavers”…..”Should have gone to him first” is what I say.
I would recommend him to all my friends or anyone who needs a cost effective, quality roofer.
He knows his job well.
Thanks Stacy for saving my office and a job well done.
